Dan MacDavid and Eric Aubort are the Founders of MA+A. With a broad base of experience, their individual skills overlap, producing a result which is larger than the sum of the components. It is their proven capability for working together efficiently that drives the success of MA+A. Dan and Eric are directly available to their clients to optimize their capacity to achieve objectives.

Dan MacDavid
Principal

Dan is a native Californian, raised in Pasadena. His formal education includes a Bachelor of Architecture degree from CPSU San Luis Obispo where he studied Art and Architecture in Florence, Italy for a year. Upon completion of his studies, he returned to Pasadena and worked extensively on Rose Bowl and L.A Coliseum Renovation work.

His success over the past 30 years has earned high recognition for award-winning commercial projects including Office, Industrial, Retail and Corporate Facilities. Dan’s focus for MA+A is initial Client Contact/ Project Development, Concept Design, Master Planning, Planning Entitlements and Building Design Development.

 

Eric Aubort
Principal

Originally from New York City, Eric has 17 years in the industry, with the last 10 years in the California marketplace. A graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Eric’s diverse Architectural field experience includes a year in Zurich, Switzerland for an Architectural and Engineering firm and a multitude of highly successful projects in the residential, commercial, retail and industrial realms. Prior to Eric’s formal Architectural training, he worked in the construction industry for commercial and residential projects.

His focus as a principal in the firm is to draw on his construction experience in the coordination and oversight of construction documents. Eric’s knowledge provides a great understanding and value in a project’s constructability. As a result, Eric is very comfortable in the field relating to contractors during the construction administration phase.
